Six Flags Read To Succeed
Your learner should have come home with a letter and reading log for the Six Flags Read To Succeed program. If your child reads 6 hours (360 minutes) and logs their reading (with a parent signature), they will earn a free ticket to Six Flags. This reading log is due back by February 19th to earn the Six Flags ticket.

February PTO Meeting
Don't forget! Join us at our February PTO meeting on Tuesday the 5th.

What are we learning?

Math

In math we will be starting our Geometry unit! We will take our post test on Monday and begin to introduce attributes of 2D and 3D shapes. This unit will be mostly memorization of the shape attributes, so we will be getting a lot of practice with that!

Language Arts

In reading, we are continuing our unit on character traits. We are also continuing to exploring inferencing and finding evidence in our text to support our ideas about character traits.

Science

In Science, learners will research various planets and their order from the sun. They will create a slide to showcase their research and understanding. We will have our unit post test on Wednesday, February 13th.

Social Studies

In Social Studies, the learners will continue to research the geography for their assigned state. They will then look into how people adapt to their physical environment based on the geography of where they live.
