Yearbooks for Sale

Our yearbook sale is now open! Each year we have a Town Center Yearbook that highlights photos from every class, school events, and staff. It is a great item to have to look back on memories from the year, and we even have a yearbook signing party in May. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please see the graphic below for thee different purchasing options. As a reminder, the TCE Yearbook cost WAS NOT included in the TCE Trail Pass. If you would like a yearbook for your child(ren), you will need to purchase using the website link below.

Our yearbook committee would also love your help in submitting photos for the yearbook. As you attend campus events, if you have any photos you would like to share, see below for information on uploading them to our committee.

What we are learning

Math - 2 by 1 digit multiplication continues! We will learn the standard algorithm, which is how we all know to multiply, folks. Put the 2 digit number on top and the 1 digit number on the bottom and multiplaaaaay and slaaaaay all day! The rhyme is “bottom, top, bottom, side - this is how we multiply”. On Tuesday, October 31, we will be exploring multiplication word problems, which usually have some sort of word that means groups “in disguise”. Look at this problem: Wanda Witch has 4 caldrons, and each caldron has 3 frogs. How many frogs are there? The word caldron means groups. For our activity on Tuesday, please feel free to send in some sort of a disguise with your child: sunglasses, a wig, a mustache, a hat…we will wear our equal groups disguise to help drive this point home! Keep learning those facts to 10!

Science - Next week we will explore how magnetism and gravity are forces.  We will discuss how they affect objects in motion.

ELAR - There’s nothing spooky about writing short constructed responses when you are a third grader at TCE! We will learn how the RACE strategy can help us this week! In reading, we will finish our study of nonfiction text features and learn how boxes and bullets can help us understand the main idea and details of what we read!

Social Studies - We the people of third grade, in order to form a more perfect future world will learn about historical documents and parts of government this week!  Ask your learner to tell you what qualities make up a good citizen!
