What are we learning?

Math
In math, learners will be completing a choice board to practice the place value skills that we have been learning. We will continue practice with rounding and estimating sums as well to prepare for our Place Value Post test that is coming up.

Language Arts
In Language Arts we will be be talking about reading grit and how we can overcome obstacles in our reading. We will be discussing context clues and learning how to use context within and beyond the text to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words and phrases.

Science
In science, learners will be investigating changes in states of matter. We will discuss and investigate melting, freezing, evaporation, and condensation. We will also learn about mixtures and experiment with separating mixtures.

Social Studies
In social studies we will be wrapping up our Communities and Culture unit by presenting our culture projects. We will begin moving into our new unit, Government and Citizenship by discussing what makes a good citizen.
