What are we learning?

Math
In math, learners will continue representing numbers (up to 100,000) in multiple ways and compare and order them based on their place value. We will continue our learning about rounding, the rounding rules, and begin to estimate sums after rounding.

Language Arts
In Language Arts, we will continue our unit on the strategy of retelling. We will also work on our reading grit. Show me Spelling Program will begin this week. Please continue to work on reading 20 mins a night to help improve reading skills, writing skills and vocabulary!

Science
In science, learners will finish up investigating matter and its physical properties. By the end of the week we will begin talking about the states of matter and how solids, liquids, and gases differ. We will also investigate changing states of matter.

Social Studies
This week in social studies we will be continuing our discussion on culture and how it impacts a community. Learners will create products that reflect their own cultures, and present them to the class to celebrate diversity in our own classroom communities.
