1. Give permission for the individual to attend the event
2. Expedite the sign in process by not going through the raptor system, which can take a lot of time. If you fill this out, you will be given a sticker at check in.

Our campus book fair will also be open during this time. Click the link below to fill in the form.

What are we learning?

Math
In math, learners will continue representing numbers (up to 100,000) in multiple ways and compare and order them based on their place value. Learners will explain the relationship in the base-ten system, and represent this relationship using expanded notation. We will start back in the thousands place and work our way up to the hundred thousands. This week we will focus on representing numbers in expanded form, and comparing and ordering numbers. This content is building upon skills the learners already have, with higher place values.

Language Arts
In reading, we are working on making basic and higher level predictions. We will also learn how to code our texts while we read. The reading challenge will come home for those who wish to participate.

In writing, we will be working on the conventions of writing and begin our grammar unit reviewing the parts of speech.

Science
In science, learners will continue to investigate matter and it's physical properties. They will describe and classify objects based on the states of matter.

Social Studies
In social studies, learners will continue our unit on communities and culture. We will be looking at what aspects make up our culture and taking a closer look at our own individual cultures. We will also be participating in a culture mind mission at the end of the unit.
