Thanksgiving Baskets
St. Ann’s Catholic Parish is once again sponsoring Thanksgiving basket deliveries (or a pickup option at St Ann’s Church if you prefer). This program provides families in need with a complete Thanksgiving dinner for the entire family. The baskets will be delivered to your home the weekend before Thanksgiving, so it is important that an adult representing the family be at the home between the hours of Noon and 4PM on Sunday November 19th, 2023. The deadline to sign up for a basket is October 20th, 2023.
Please completely fill out the following form by clicking this link: 2023 St. Ann's Thanksgiving Baskets. You may contact Nurse Crenshaw with any questions at kcrenshaw@coppellisd.com or 214-496-7816.

What we are learning
Math - That’s a wrap folks! Wave a fond farewell to Place Value! While it is the basis of all math and we would be lost without it, it’s time to stop hammering it and just let it be…we’ve spent a lot of time working on subtraction with regrouping in small groups and feel ready to tackle our place value post test, which will be Wednesday, October 3. We will review on Tuesday, October 2. Topics to review: Base 10 block representation (counting and drawing numbers with place value blocks, expanded notation (example 2,463= (2x1,000) + (4x100) + (6x10) + (3x1), expanded form, addition and subtraction with and without regrouping (borrowing and carrying), and the Base 10 relationship (every place value spot on the left is 10 times greater than the place value spot to its right), and rounding. Onward and upward! Next on deck? Multiplication and Division!
Science - Adios Properties of Matter…Hello Force, Motion and Energy! We will start with exploring different forms of energy in our everyday life; light, heat, sound and mechanical.
ELAR - In Reading this week, we will be working on making inferences and using text evidence to support them as we read. Our learners are publishing our personal narrative stories and will be practicing the writing process with another story from start to finish!
