CISD Family/Schools Relationships Survey Due by May 16th
Each semester, CISD surveys our families on their relationships with their child’s school. The Spring 2025 Family/Schools Relationship Survey is open now through Friday, May 16th. To participate, visit go.coppellisd.com/Spring25FamilySurvey, then select your child(ren)’s school. If you have multiple children in CISD, we ask that you take the survey for each school your child attends in order for the schools to have feedback that is specific to them. Campus administrators are able to view the data from each parent survey, along with district administrators.
Please email input@coppellisd.com, if you would like to share any additional feedback or insight not covered in the survey or have any additional comments to share with the district
Attendance
Background Checks
We ask that all families complete a volunteer background check at the start of the year. They do not carry over from year to year. Since the background checks take time to process, we ask that everyone complete one in case any type of volunteering opportunity (class field trip, Dad's Club, Room parent, class volunteer, field day, etc.) arises during the year that you are interested in. Please click on the link below to complete it.

TCE Principal Newsletter

https://secure.smore.com/n/m5fpu
Every other week Ms. Martin sends out her Town Center Principal Newsletter. Please make sure to check out all the important campus-wide announcements in the Principal Newsletter.
ELA/SS - During ELAR this week we will put our research skills to the test. Students will be researching a historical figure and creating a final product to showcase all that they have learned!
Math - This week in math, The Price Is Right! I talked about this show a lot during the elapsed time unit - specifically the Showcase Showdown - and the kiddos are interested. First, we will watch an episode so they can see how the show works. Then they will work on researching everyday household item amounts, practice making those amounts with pretend money, make a presentation about how much they would spend at the grocery store if the items were in their cart, and then they’ll make a game show-style Kahoot to get others in the class to guess their item amounts, just like The Price Is Right. It is going to be a hoot, and I really think they’re going to like it! On Tuesday, we’ll take our last math MAP test for 3rd grade. We’ve set goals for this test and are aiming for improvement in our score since we last took the test in the winter. Pleeease continue to help make sure that the fully charged ipad is brought to school everyday until school gets out!
Science - The long awaited Minecraft project is here! We already dipped our toes into starting it and we are jumping all the way in next week. They will be researching the climate, food sources and animals that a specific habitat has to offer. They will also be creating a new animal that could survive in that habitat and explain how its adaptations help in its survival. Then they will take all of this information and put it into Minecraft Education! Stay tuned for the final product!
