Field Trip - Wednesday, May 8th

A detailed letter will be coming home Monday with your child.  This will have all the information that will help your child be prepared for the day of our field trip.  Chaperones will have a little extra information included for them. 

Tennis Shoes for PE & Extended Specials Day (CTT)

Please help make sure that your child wears appropriate shoes on PE days and Move & Groove (Fridays). Additionally, every other Thursday 3rd grade has extended specials during CTT. The dates are outlined for the remainder of the year below. Thank you for your help in making sure your child is safely dressed for the gym!

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

ELA - As we near the end of our folktales unit, our readers will use what they have learned about the genre to code scenes from one of their favorite stories. 

Social Studies - It’s an exciting time in Social Studies as we begin our culminating project for historical figures using Minecraft. Learners will create an exhibit that showcases key objects from one of our figure’s lives. They will work through the timeline of the person’s life and record a tour of the exhibit they create.

Math - We are still reviewing all things 3rd grade math to cement our awesome knowledge from the year - our final math MAP test will be Monday, May 13.

Science - Our Minecraft Biome project is in full swing. We are using everything we have learned about plants, animals and adaptations to work on creating our own biome within Minecraft.
