Arctic Adventure Book Fair
Our TCE Book Fair is almost here! Our library is currently being transformed into an "Arctic Adventure" thanks to our fantastic PTO volunteers. This is all in preparation for our Book Fair that runs Monday, September 9th - Friday, September 15th.
To help our Book Fair be most successful, we need your help. Please consider volunteering a small portion of your time to help out in the Book Fair using the link below.
As with all volunteering opportunities, a background check is required. Please see the section below to learn more about this process.

What are we learning?
Math
In math, learners will continue representing numbers (up to 100,000) in multiple ways and compare and order them based on their place value. Learners will explain the relationship in the base-ten system, and represent this relationship using expanded notation. We will practice writing numbers in standard form, expanded form, word form, and drawing them using base 10 blocks.
Language Arts
In language arts, we are focusing on essential comprehension skills including retelling, using context clues, and predicting.
Science
In science, learners will continue to investigate matter and its physical properties. They will describe and classify matter, understand that heating and cooling can change the properties of matter, as well as how solids, liquids, and gases differ.
Social Studies
In social studies, learners will be looking at the impact that various cultures have within a community. They will be comparing different cultural celebrations.
